He is also the Chairman of Lloyd's Tercentenary Research Foundation, ClimateWise, The Sainsbury Centre of Visual Arts and Co-Chair of The University of East Anglia - 50 Making a Difference Campaign. He leads the Inclusion@Lloyd’s Group. He believes that a contemporary approach to Diversity and Inclusion is central to future business success.

Brian started his career as a journalist and producer at the BBC before finding that his passion lay in campaigning for social causes. Brian has since become a dedicated campaigner, helping to improve the lives of those severely affected by mental illness, initially as Director of External Affairs at Rethink Mental Illness and as Co-Chair of the National Suicide Prevention Alliance. Brian is now responsible for Campaigns and Policy, Communications, Fundraising and Participation at Rethink Mental Illness and is the CEO of Mental Health UK.

From 2007 to 2018 Jayne-Anne was CEO of Virgin Money. In November 2016 she was appointed as the UK Government’s Women in Finance Champion, and in July 2017 she became a founder member of its Business Diversity and Inclusion Group. In 2018 she was named Leader of the Year at the Lloyds Bank National Business Awards. She sits on the UK Government’s Industrial Strategy Council. She was made a Dame in the 2019 New Year Honours list.

She is an international motivational speaker including chairing the Bloomberg summit round table with UN Women in Mumbai and was awarded an OBE for diversity across banking in 2017. She now acts as Trustee, Advisor to organisations like Queens Commonwealth Trust across 53 countries, Alzheimer’s Soc and NED on TLC Lions reaching over 1 million employees across 230 companies globally on inclusion, wellbeing and leadership culture using the power of storytelling to awaken a more empathic culture.
