The Member Modelling software exists as a tool to enable users (generally members and their advisers) to view and model capital requirements relating to their underwriting portfolio of syndicate participations at Lloyd’s. It is an on-line application, which allows multiple underwriting scenarios to be modelled, with the capital impact recorded for comparison. It also provides analysis and syndicate information to assist in arriving at a well- diversified portfolio, but does not include information on past syndicate performance. The member modeller is updated for the latest data in accordance with the business capital timetable, reflecting SBF and LCR submissions, Capacity Auctions and deadlines for Quarterly Corridor Tests (QCTs) and the Coming into Line (CIL) exercise. The user’s experience is personal to them and enables them to run multiple scenarios but is for modelling purposes only and nothing entered in the member modeller initiates any transaction, which must be pursued via the normal means of acquiring or disposing of syndicate participations.
