Eleanor Bucks
Chief Investment Officer
Eleanor Bucks became Lloyd’s first Chief Investment Officer in September 2021, overseeing Lloyd’s Treasury and Investment Management team. In her remit Eleanor leads Lloyd’s investment platform which is designed to help investors in the Lloyd’s market generate attractive risk-adjusted returns on capital and access a broader range of investment opportunities, including private assets. Eleanor joined Lloyd’s from Legal & General where she was the Chief Operating Officer of its alternative asset platform, Legal & General Capital.
She has over 20 years of experience in insurance and finance including several roles at Legal & General as Chief Investment Officer and Managing Director, Direct Investment and Real Assets for Legal & General Retirement. She has served as Chair of LGIM Real Asset’s Alternative Investment Fund Manager and a Director or Legal & General’s Single-Family Build-to-Rent business. Eleanor is also an independent non-executive director of Phoenix Group Holding plc.
