Lloyd’s Together network

Creating a sense of community and inclusion

The Lloyd’s Together network is an umbrella Diversity and Inclusion network for the Corporation. 

It aims to contribute to creating a sense of community and inclusion, educate and raise awareness, engage colleagues across the organisation, and aligns to the D&I agenda. It also acts as a sounding board for activities and policies developed by the Culture team. 

The Lloyd's Together network incorporates 7 communities - Disability, Families, Military, Gender, PA, Multicultural and Pride & Allies.

Disability Community

The aims of the Disability Community are to: 

  • nurture talent by improving disability inclusion at Lloyd's  
  • champion best practice around accessibility at Lloyd's, from its communication channels to physical premises

The Culture team collaborated with the Disability Community to achieve Disability Confident Employer Status. 

Families Community

The aims of the Families Community are to: 

  • support Lloyd's in providing a family friendly working environment for all employees 
  • raise awareness and champion topics / causes related to families within the Lloyd’s community 
  • connect and support parents and carers working at Lloyd’s 

Military Community

The aim of the Military Community is to: 

  • support the transition of Service Learners into Lloyd’s 

Gender Community

The aims of the Gender Community are to: 

  • create an open, inclusive and supporting environment where colleagues connect and share information on gender equality within Lloyd's by: 
    • promoting awareness and understanding of issues around gender equality within the workplace
    • identifying key topics and ensuring that we address them in an open forum
    • supporting the professional development of Lloyd's employees whilst being mindful of the challenges faced in the context of gender inequality
    • promoting Lloyd's as an employer of choice with regards to D&l, particularly gender equality 

PA Community

The PA community provides a forum for all Lloyd’s Assistants to promote: 

  • Best practice 
  • Collaboration 
  • Inclusive culture 
  • Networking opportunities

Multicultural Community

The aims of the Multicultural Community are to: 

  • raise awareness of different cultures within Lloyd's
  • promote understanding of issues relating to culture amongst colleagues at all levels
  • network and share information 

Pride and Allies Community

The aims of the Pride and Allies Community are to: 

  • foster an inclusive working environment where LGBTQ+ people can be themselves and achieve their full potential
  • ensure understanding and support for LGBTQ+ issues within the Corporation of Lloyd's
  • engage with or support other market groups, business partners and suppliers to promote a more inclusive culture
