Aviation Class of Business Workshop
Lloyd’s Brazil Class of Business Workshop about aviation risks took place in São Paulo on October 4th with the presence of approximately 85 representatives from the local insurance and reinsurance market, including brokers, cedants, risk managers and loss adjusters.
The event included presentations from 5 different speakers followed by a wrap-up panel and Q&A, where some interesting discussions about the aviation market in Brazil took place.
The event’s presentations were:
Marco Castro made the opening speech and gave an overview of the aviation insurance market at Lloyd’s
- Anna Henley, aviation underwriter from ANV Syndicate, gave a presentation about the Hull Deductibles market and products available to the local market
- James Owen, aviation underwriter from XL Catlin Syndicate, gave a speech about Airline Hull and Liability
- Ken Forsyth, loss adjuster from Crawford Aviation, talked about his experience dealing with Aviation Hull Losses around the world
- Julio Costa, loss adjusters from Mayer Brown, gave a presentation highlighting his experience handling Liability Claims in Brazil
Lloyd’s innovative solutions, experience and expertise on aviation risks were raised at the event and Lloyd’s Brazil remains supportive of the development of the Brazilian market.
A cocktail reception was offered by Crawford and Mayer Brown at the end of the event which was a great opportunity to representatives from the Brazilian market and Lloyd’s underwriters to strengthen and develop their relationships.
