Supporting those in need
The Lloyd’s Benevolent Fund charity provides support and financial assistance to those in need who have worked in the Lloyd’s community.
Who we are
The Lloyd’s Benevolent Fund (LBF) has been helping the Lloyd’s community through hard times for almost 200 years.
We recognise that anyone can suffer misfortune at any time – whether through ill health, or a change in personal circumstances that leaves them struggling to cope financially.
The LBF is here to provide support and financial assistance for those times, and is available to anyone who works, or has worked, within the Lloyd’s community in the UK for at least five years. The nature of the support will vary depending on the circumstances, but it could be a one-off grant for a piece of medical equipment or an urgent home repair, or a long-term grant for someone with little or no savings and whose income doesn’t cover their basic living costs.
Get in touch – we’re here to help
If you, or someone you know, could benefit from the LBF’s help, please get in touch. We welcome direct applications as well as enquiries from family, friends and work colleagues. We can also assist with the application process if circumstances make that difficult.
Send us an email and our Secretary will be in touch to discuss your requirements and provide a simple application form to proceed.
Any applications or discussions will be handled sensitively and in confidence – please don’t hesitate to contact us.
