days annual leave
We recognise the importance of work/life balance and provide 25+ days of annual leave. It’s also possible to buy or sell up to a week’s additional annual leave via our flexible benefits offering.
There are certain things in life that Lloyd’s believes employees shouldn’t have to worry about – by providing a lump sum equal to 12 x base salary in the event of death-in-service, you can have peace of mind in the event that anything happens to you.
Provision for retirement is important – we offer a competitive Group Personal Pension with extended matching contributions.
Private medical insurance
We provide all employees with comprehensive private medical insurance cover and the opportunity to select family cover via our flexible benefits offering. For roles at grade 13 and above, Lloyd’s provides family cover.
To help reduce the financial impact of long term ill health, we provide all employees with income protection cover. This benefit can provide a stream of income, subject to medical evidence, for up to 5 years. Employees can also increase the level of cover via our flexible benefits offering.
Interest-free season ticket loans
We can provide you with an interest free loan to help with the cost of your travel and spread the cost of your annual season ticket throughout the year.
Up to 50% discount at our on-site restaurants
Lloyd’s subsidise food and drink available at the London and Chatham restaurants by up to 50% in our welcoming on-site restaurants and coffee shop.
We will meet the cost of membership of relevant approved professional bodies for our employees to maintain their qualifications and continue their learning.
Corporate perks programme
We provide access to a corporate perks programme offering discounts at your favourite brands. This is a popular programme with our employees, with cinema ticket offers, discounted breaks and many other retail offers.

Support for training and development
We have a generous training budget for ongoing development, and will provide financial support and/or study leave to help you gain a relevant professional qualification. Lloyd’s University gives you access to many courses and is an excellent source of development material.

Health and wellbeing

Annual programme of Health & Wellbeing events
Your health and wellbeing is important to us and we provide a calendar of wellbeing events covering a wide variety of topics to help you improve your health and wellbeing. This includes seminars, e-learning and interactive sessions on a wide range of wellbeing topics.
We understand that working 9 to 5 doesn’t suit everybody all the time. We value the diversity in experiences, perspectives and approaches of all our colleagues and so if it can work for you, and work for us, then we are fully supportive of flexible working.
We all encounter occasional challenges in our domestic lives, and you can take up to 5 days paid leave a year to deal with any emergencies that arise, whether family-related or not.
Once you've worked for Lloyd's for five years, you'll get the opportunity to enjoy one month paid leave for sabbaticals of 2–12 months. You will be able to enjoy this benefit once in each five-year period of your service with Lloyd’s.
If you decide to start a family we’ll give you 26 weeks’ paid leave, whether you’re the primary or secondary care giver (nongender specific). Following a period of leave you’ll have the opportunity to phase your return whilst receiving full pay.
Parental Leave Toolkit
We provide access to an online coaching tool designed to support expecting and adopting parents and their line managers throughout the parental leave transition.
We realise it can be challenging to balance work and family commitments, particularly when it comes to looking after dependants. We provide up to 10 sessions of Back-up Care per year to help in emergencies or when your usual care arrangements fall through.
