Encouraging a positive health and safety culture

Lloyd’s is certified to ISO 45001. This is the internationally recognised standard for Occupational Health and Safety that identifies Lloyd’s as a safe environment to work in.

Lloyd’s recognises and accepts its responsibility to provide a safe and healthy working environment for all its employees, tenants, contractors and visitors who use its premises in order to prevent injury and ill health, in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and its associated regulations.


As a building user

You have a duty to look after your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your errors or omissions. You also have a duty to comply with specific arrangements set out in Lloyd's Health and Safety Policy. The key requirements placed on tenant and underwriters working on Lloyd’s premises are contained in the Lloyd’s Building Health and Safety Guide.
