The report – Use of Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Weapons by Non-State Actors: Emerging trends and risk factors – explores some of the key factors driving the global threat of CBRN attacks as acts of terrorism or sabotage.

The report also presents a set of plausible but extreme scenarios for each form of attack to illustrate the types of events that insurers could consider as part of their exposure management and underwriting strategies. These scenarios are not predictions but could provide a useful tool to help insurers consider the risks associated with CBRN weapons use.
