During the service, Chairman, Bruce Carnegie-Brown welcomed War Widows and Far East Prisoners of War and other esteemed guests to Lloyd’s for the service, including Vincent Keaveny, the outgoing Lord Mayor of London, Chelsea Pensioners, and representatives of the Royal British Legion Lloyd’s and City Branch.
A Guard of Honour was provided by HMS President Royal Naval Reserve, 7th Battalion, The Rifles (7 RIFLES) and the South East and City of London NE Sector Army Cadet Force. Members of the Lloyd’s Military network were also in attendance.
The Lloyd’s Choir performed before a wreath laying ceremony. The Lutine Bell rung out and the Last Post was played by buglers, beginning two minutes of silence.
