The Lloyd’s 2021 Remembrance Day ceremony took place today in Lloyd’s Underwriting Room in London at 10.45, followed by a two-minute silence at 11.00.

For the service, Lloyd’s Chairman, Bruce Carnegie-Brown, welcomed War Widows and Far East Prisoners of War as esteemed guests to Lloyd’s for the service, including the outgoing Lord Mayor of London William Russell, Chelsea Pensioners, and representatives of the Royal British Legion Lloyd’s & City Branch. Members of the Lloyd’s Military network were also in attendance.

The Lloyd’s Choir performed before the wreath laying ceremony, following which the Lutine Bell was rung ahead of the Last Post being sounded by buglers, which began the two minutes of silence.

This year’s ceremony was especially noteworthy being the 100th Anniversary of the Royal British Legion.
