Ireland – Submission of Motor Policy Data to the ANPR Database
Managing agents are reminded that all relevant motor policy data must be sent to the Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) database in Ireland on a daily basis.
It is a requirement of underwriting motor third party liability insurance for vehicles registered in Ireland that insurers must submit details of new policies issued and existing policies that have been canceled to the ANPR database in Ireland on a daily basis. At Lloyd’s, this must be done by managing agents for all open market and binding authority business. When the data is not submitted to the ANPR on time, there is a risk that the Irish police will not be able to verify that an insured has a valid policy.
Any managing agent that has difficulties in submitting a complete data set on a daily basis should contact the Lloyd’s office in Ireland.
