Dear member,
On the 19 April I wrote to you with an invitation to the 2022 Lloyd’s Annual General Meeting (‘AGM”). Within that invitation, we informed members that we had become aware of the potential for disruption to the Lloyd’s Building by climate activists on the day of the AGM.
Since that invitation was distributed, we have been advised that the risk of disruption has significantly increased. To ensure the safety and security of our members and to allow the meeting to proceed in an orderly and fair manner, it is with regret that I must now strongly encourage all members attending the AGM to join virtually and not to attempt to enter the Lloyd’s Building on that day.
Instructions on joining the meeting virtually can be found within your original invitation and the AGM Guidance Document referenced within.
While there will be an opportunity to submit questions during the meeting, I would again encourage members to submit their questions in advance, where possible. This will help maintain the smooth conduct of the meeting under the virtual format. Questions may be submitted in advance to the Lloyd’s Secretariat team -
