Newline was founded in 1997 and specialises in underwriting financial lines and casualty (re)insurance through Lloyd’s Syndicate 1218. Our team of skilled underwriters and dedicated claims professionals have made Newline a recognised market leader.

The syndicate’s portfolio has always included business from the Asian region, but we decided to participate in Lloyd’s Asia to get closer to our clients to better understand their requirements and the local market.

Newline Asia Services Pte. Ltd. is wholly owned and supported by Odyssey Group Holdings, Inc. Odyssey Group is a leading worldwide underwriter of property and casualty reinsurance as well as speciality insurance. The company is rated ‘A’ (Excellent) by A.M. Best and ‘A-’ (Strong) by Standard & Poor’s.

Placing a risk with Lloyd's in Singapore
