Day one started with a an overview of both Lloyd's and the London market by Kirsty Keate, Underwriting manager at Lloyd's UK Branch and Lloyd's Europe by Marianna Papadakis, Country Manager for Greece, Malta, Cyprus and Israel, Lloyd’s. This was followed by a presentation on coastal flooding in a changing climate by Ty Buckingham, Climate Hazard Specialist from the Emerging Risks team at Lloyd's. In the afternoon, there was a Country Manager spotlight session before a tour of the iconic Lloyd's building. The day ended with dinner in the Adam Room hosted by Dawn Miller, newly-appointed CCO of Lloyd’s and CEO of Lloyd’s Americas.
