Market engagement over the next two years

Ongoing engagement is critical to build and deliver appropriate, relevant, and easily adoptable solutions that provide real value and benefit to the market, and ultimately the end customer.

We’re delivering Blueprint Two at pace, and we need to ensure that market participants understand what we are delivering; how the change will impact them; and ultimately what they need to do to get ready for the new digital solutions by 2024.

Our new engagement approach: market readiness

  1. We have formed a single market readiness team working with the joint venture. All members of the team will be given the same foundation training and will represent all Blueprint Two solutions. This will ensure consistent messaging and enables the market to hear from one team, instead of through multiple channels.
  2. We have segmented the market and our third parties into 10 groups which we are calling “communities” or what we are calling The EC10. We have six carrier, three broker and one vendor community made up of about 15-20 companies in each group. One of our broker communities is larger to cover all mid to small sized brokers – of which there are many! The communities (where possible and practical) have been segmented broadly on the vendor they are using (e.g. DXC, Verisk or AdvantageGo). Grouping this way creates a community that will have similar requirements, challenges, and solutions to technical change. While technology is not the only change, the market must make, it can often be the hardest to deliver - so it makes sense to group together and involve the vendor in our conversations.   3. We are producing key artefacts, building on material which has already produced, including:
  1. Solutions outlines – which will provide a detailed single view of the overall solutions and services covering the Digital Gateway, premiums, and claims;
  2. Benefit cases – which will share a view of all the benefits opportunities presented by the solutions;
  3. Implementation playbooks – focused on the detailed activity that firms need to take to enable them to onboard successfully to Blueprint Two services;
  4. Tracking tools – including a new way to send in questions to the team, as well as tracking individual firms position on readiness.

This month we have met with eight of the communities and have introduced them to their market readiness partners. But this is just the start, and there is a lot of work to do; from setting one-to-one meetings with each of the firms, focused planning sessions to assess their business case and benefits, working on bespoke readiness plans, and involving them in market acceptance testing.

We are also looking to identify a Blueprint Two champion at each carrier and broker that can work with their market readiness partner, as a key point of contact in their organisation. Once these have been agreed we will update this page with that information.
