Verisk Maplecroft used its time in the Lab to identify and better understand the potential market opportunities in the realm of political violence underwriting. Having identified these opportunities, Verisk Maplecroft then used the remainder of its time to adapt its existing Civil Unrest Index to create a global, subnational Strikes, Riots and Civil Commotion (SRCC) index to meet the requirements of the insurance industry.
