Overview

StateUp’s insurance arm is developing a risk data and analytics platform for renewable energy insurance. StateUp’s initial focus is on commercial-scale solar projects in emerging markets. Their team combines cutting-edge research and industry experience in energy and water infrastructure, AI and data analysis.

Lab activity

StateUp primarily focused on developing an InsurTech product to enable the underwriting of commercial-scale renewable energy projects in regions where solar is scaling rapidly, unlocking energy security and resilience.

StateUp were able to validate their hypnosis by understanding their problem statements on a more gradual level, whilst creating a sandstorm analytics and behavioural risks framework and developed the initial version of their MVP for their first product in close co-operation with the Lloyd’s market.  StateUp have recently published an article for the World Economic Forum highlighting their work and latest insights.
