About us

Our presence in Belgium and the Netherlands represents a combined turnover of EUR 546 million in premiums (2024).

Iwan Röpcke is responsible for raising the profile of Lloyd’s in Europe and assisting the market to develop their business across Belgium and the Netherlands, as well as managing the Lloyd’s office in Rotterdam. Previously Iwan served as Business Strategy & Development Manager for Lloyd’s Europe, before which he was Sales & Marketing Director at Willis Towers Watson in Brussels.

Lloyd’s requires all insurance risks located in the EEA to be written by Lloyd’s Insurance Company S.A. (“Lloyd’s Europe”) and not Lloyd’s underwriters.

Lloyd’s Europe is authorised and regulated by the National Bank of Belgium, and is fully Solvency II compliant, Lloyd’s Europe has passported into all EEA Member States for non-life insurance and is authorised to write non-life risks from Monaco and the UK.
