About us

Our presence in Belgium and the Netherlands represents a combined turnover of EUR 546 million in premiums (2024).

Julie Dubuisson is Country Manager Benelux at Lloyd’s Europe, responsible for leading the development of the Lloyd’s market across Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. With over 20 years of international experience in insurance and reinsurance, she brings deep expertise in specialty insurance, business development and regulated insurance operations. Prior to joining Lloyd’s Europe, Julie served as General Manager, Dirigeant Agréé and Board Member of Convex Europe, where she built and scaled the company’s European platform. Earlier in her career, she held international roles with AXA, Swiss Re and Marsh. Julie holds master’s degrees in Insurance and Finance and is bilingual in English and French.

Lloyd’s Europe

Lloyd’s requires all insurance risks located in the EEA to be written by Lloyd’s Insurance Company S.A. (“Lloyd’s Europe”) and not Lloyd’s underwriters.

Lloyd’s Europe is authorised and regulated by the National Bank of Belgium, and is fully Solvency II compliant, Lloyd’s Europe has passported into all EEA Member States for non-life insurance and is authorised to write non-life risks from Monaco and the UK.
