Lloyd’s 2023 Remembrance Day Ceremony

10 Nov 2023

On Friday 10 November, the Lloyd’s market came together in the Underwriting Room for the Lloyd’s Remembrance Day Ceremony at One Lime Street.

Lloyd’s Chairman Bruce Carnegie-Brown welcomed War Widows and Far East Prisoners of War as esteemed guests for the service, including Nicholas Lyons, the outgoing Lord Mayor of London, Chelsea Pensioners, and representatives of the Royal British Legion Lloyd’s and City Branch.

A Guard of Honour was provided by HMS President Royal Naval Reserve, The Rifles (7 Rifles), the Reserve Infantry Battalion of London and the South East and City of London NE Sector Army Cadet Force. Members of the Lloyd’s Military network were also in attendance.

The ceremony also saw the Lloyd’s Choir perform before the wreath laying ceremony, following which the Lutine Bell rung out across the Room and the Last Post was sounded by buglers, beginning the two minutes of silence.
