The Lloyd’s Lab has grown to encompass a diversity of programmes and initiatives, to support insurance innovation at all phases; helping the Lloyd's market develop solutions to the biggest challenges of our time. 

From our most established programme, the Accelerator, to the more recently launched Lloyd's Lab Challenge, this range of initiatives has helped deliver the Lloyd’s Lab’s ambition to build a partnership-powered ecosystem – with faster adoption of new ideas and products.

Accelerator

The 10-week InsurTech accelerator programme aims to help innovative ideas gain traction and success in our market.

Product Launchpad

A group of Lloyd's insurers who are keen to see new, innovative insurance product ideas, to help develop them, and ultimately to launch them in the market.

FutureMinds

FutureMinds looks to power product innovation and train a new generation of industry experts in the skills of transforming new ideas into customer-facing products.

Lab Customer Challenge

The Lloyd’s Lab Challenge programme is a product development framework designed to create new insurance solutions to answer existing and emerging customer and societal challenges that are growing in their complexity.

A syndicate class of business that syndicates can use to write up to an additional 2% of Syndicate Business Forecast GWP of innovative business.

Our story so far

In the first five years of the Lloyd’s Lab, the Accelerator saw over 100 InsurTechs, start-ups and innovation-focused companies go through the Lloyd’s Lab and bring their innovative solutions to the market. Our report ‘Accelerating innovation in the insurance industry' delves into our story and successes from these first five years.
