Scopri come accedere al mercato e piazzare i rischi ai Lloyd’s da tutto il mondo.

Lloyd's underwriters in the UK do not generally deal directly with policyholders. Instead, business is normally accepted through the following intermediaries:

  • Lloyd's brokers: Insurance business is generally brought to market by broking firms who have been registered (by Lloyd’s) to broke insurance business in the Lloyd's market.
  • Coverholders: Lloyd's underwriters may delegate their authority to enter into contracts of insurance to an intermediary known as a coverholder. The general principle is that the coverholder acts as agent of the Lloyd's underwriter (rather than as agent of the policyholder).
  • Syndicate Service Companies: A syndicate service company is generally a wholly owned subsidiary of a Lloyd’s managing agent. They can be directly accessed by all licensed UK brokers.
