This statement has been prepared by ANV Syndicates Limited (ASL) for the purpose of disclosing to existing and prospective underwriting members of Syndicate 5820 (the Syndicate) information which may be of relevance to such members in considering their participation for the 2016 year of account (YOA).
Members are also referred to the Business Plan Narrative for the 2016 YOA, other SBF documents, and the Syndicate’s latest financial statements and quarterly returns, all of which have either been provided or are available to members (or their representatives as appropriate), and which include information on various changes affecting ASL and/or the Syndicate which have taken place since the end of 2014.
Syndicate Business Forecast Resubmission
Further to ASL's announcement on 5th October 2015, ASL will be resubmitting the s5820 SBF with no increase to Gross Gross Premium from 2015. Gross Net Premium will however, only be slightly reduced from the original 2016 planned growth. Specific details and the impact of the changes on profitability and capital requirements will be made available to Members’ Agents separately.
Management Change
ANV today announced the appointment of Janet Helson as CEO of the group’s Lloyd’s Managing Agency, ANV Syndicates Limited. The appointment is subject to regulatory approval.
Effective 19th October, Janet will be responsible for the operation of ANV’s Lloyd’s platform. She will report to Lynsey Cross, CEO of ANV Group. Janet takes over from Andrew Hall, who was appointed interim Managing Director of ANV’s Lloyd’s Managing Agency in April.
Gerard van Loon, who took on the role of ANV Syndicates Director of Underwriting in 2014 during the integration of ANV and Jubilee, resumes his previous role of ANV Group Chief Underwriting Officer.
