AmTrust at Lloyd’s Limited (the Managing Agent) has recently carried out an operational review of the combined claims function of its three managed syndicates.  Part of that review has indicated that there might be a need to strengthen reserves for the 2013 and prior years of account of Syndicate 2526. As a result the Managing Agent has decided to commission an external independent review of the Syndicate’s 2013 and prior year claims reserves. The review, which is being undertaken by ReviewAudit And More Consultancy Limited (RAM), is currently in progress and is expected to be completed by mid-October. Once the outcome of the review is known decisions will be made, in consultation with the Syndicate's external actuaries, as to the extent (if any) of any reserve strengthening thought to be required.
