Fri 10 Nov 2017

As is now tradition, Royal Naval Reserves from HMS President and members of F Company, 7 Rifles formed the Guard of Honour as a Lone Piper played.

Mark Drummond-Brady, the Chairman of the Lloyd’s branch of the British Legion, recited the moving words of “The Ode of Remembrance” before the Bell was rung and the Last Post sounded.

Lloyd’s Chairman, Bruce Carnegie-Brown led the wreath-laying ceremony alongside the Lord Mayor of London, Dr Andrew Parmley, Mark Drummond-Brady, Deputy Elizabeth Rogula of the Lime Street Ward, Captain Ian McNaught of Trinity House, Stephen Kipping, the Lime Street Ward Beadle and Major Peter Bull of the F Company 7 Rifles.

The Chelsea Pensioners were in attendance with the City of London Army Cadets providing assistance to guests.

For the first time the ceremony was streamed live online. Footage from the ceremony is available below.
