Council Election Results

By a notice dated 26 May 2026, members were informed of the vacancies arising on the Council of Lloyd’s.

At the close of the nomination process, valid nominations had been received as follows:

C-External member – one candidate for one vacancy

AXA XL SYNDICATE LIMITED (represented by Mr Sean McGOVERN)

Individual External member – one candidate for one vacancy

Mr Marcus JOHNSON

Working member – one candidate for one vacancy

Ms Victoria CARTER

As the number of C-External, Individual External and Working member candidates equals the number of vacancies, a ballot will not be necessary and each of the above are elected.

The term of office for the C-External and Individual External member seats will commence on 1 December 2026 and will be for a period of three years, unless terminated earlier in accordance with paragraph 5.28 of the Constitutional Arrangements Byelaw (No. 2 of 2010). 

The term of office for the Working member seat will commence on 1 December 2026 and will be for a period of 14 months in accordance with paragraph 5.27 of the Constitutional Arrangements Byelaw (No. 2 of 2010).
