The Lloyd’s Remembrance Day ceremony will take place on Friday 11 November in the Lloyd’s Underwriting Room in London from 10:45 GMT, followed by a two-minute silence from 11:00.
Lloyd’s Chairman, Bruce Carnegie-Brown will be welcoming War Widows and Far East Prisoners of War and other esteemed guests to Lloyd’s for the service, including Vincent Keaveny, the outgoing Lord Mayor of London, Chelsea Pensioners, and representatives of the Royal British Legion Lloyd’s and City Branch.
A Guard of Honour will be provided by HMS President Royal Naval Reserve, Number 17 Company (Coldstream), 1st Battalion The London Guards and the South East and City of London NE Sector Army Cadet Force. Members of the Lloyd’s Military network will also be in attendance.
The Lloyd’s Choir will perform before the wreath laying ceremony, following which the Lutine Bell will be rung ahead of the Last Post being sounded by buglers which begins the two minutes of silence.
