‘Our Fragile Space’ photography exhibition

exhibition poster

There are now more than 160m human-made pieces of space waste circling our planet – the vast majority of them in the same low Earth orbit as thousands of satellites that support and enable everyday life on Earth.

As part of our commitment to awareness around space sustainability, this World Space Week Lloyd’s will host the launch of ‘Our Fragile Space’ - an international photography exhibit about the reality of space debris, led by renowned science communicator and space photographer Max Alexander.

The exhibition combines artistic photography, reportage and portraiture to together demonstrate the fragility of space, highlight the increasing threat of space debris to our environment (and our way of life), and to centre the people and initiatives trying to do something about it.

Visit the exhibition

‘Our Fragile Space’ will be on display in the Lloyd’s Underwriting Room from 6th – 21st October and will be accessible to Lloyd’s pass holders and their registered guests during our usual opening hours.
