Professor Roger Kirby

Professor Roger Kirby is President of the Royal Society of Medicine. He is a prostate surgeon with over 40 years’ experience in the NHS and private practice. He has published more than 350 peer-reviewed scientific publications, written 68 books mainly on prostate disease and men’s health, and founded two scientific journals: Prostate Cancer and Prostatic Diseases and Trends in Urology and Men’s Health. In 2016 he received the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons’ Clement Price Thomas Award for services to surgery.


Peter Baker

Peter Baker is an independent consultant committed to improving the health of men and boys. He supports organisations in the public, private and third sectors that want to begin or develop their work on men's health. He has vast experience in the field of men's health, having served as Chief Executive for the Men's Health Forum (England and Wales's leading men's health charity) for 12 years, and having published two self-help books for men. He currently leads the work of Global Action on Men’s Health and provides consultancy support to the European Cancer Organisation’s HPV Action Network and the Throat Cancer Foundation. In 2018, he received an Outstanding Contribution Award from the Royal Society of Public Health for his work on HPV.
