An ever-evolving threat

How do we increase cyber resilience?

Cyber is one of the most complex and critical risks threatening national security and businesses today. Tackling this ever-evolving threat requires continued action, collaboration, and an agile approach.

As the world’s leading insurance marketplace, Lloyd’s brings together experts who share intelligence, judgement, capital and risk to create a braver, more resilient world.

This unique summit will see senior business leaders, policy makers, cyber risk specialists and thought leaders discuss creative solutions for this emerging and interconnected threat.

A range of thought-provoking sessions will include:

  • Delving into the cybercriminal mindset to discuss how business and society can best respond, with Robert Hannigan, former GCHQ Director, Chris Painter, the world’s first cyber diplomat for the US Department of Justice and Rhea Siers, 30-year veteran in the US Intelligence Community
  • What are the critical threats on the horizon that will challenge our cyber resilience? With leading cyber academic Dr Bhavani Thuraisingham and former Assistant Director for Cybersecurity at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, Lauren van Wazer and Microsoft’s Chief Security Advisor, Sian John MBE
  • Revealing the true impact of a significant cyber-attack, with a live-hack simulation led by Coalition, alongside perspective from Sir Ciarán Devane, Chair of Irish Health Service Executive
  • In the face of this ever-evolving threat, is it the public or the private sector's job to protect business and society? With Ross Anderson, Chair of Foundation for Information Policy Research at the University of Cambridge and Charlie McMurdie, former head of the National Cyber Crime Unit

The summit will be followed by networking drinks on the Lloyd’s Underwriting Floor.
