Insurance is experiencing a surge of interest towards Artificial Intelligence (AI) and associated AI risks which are becoming more ubiquitous as a result of accelerated adoption of AI-powered models and technologies. The insurance products specifically designed for covering these risks are still in its nascent stage but it’s clear that it will play one of the most crucial roles in how this powerful technology is implemented and regulated.
That’s why Venture 6 of Lloyd’s Lab Futureminds programme has focused on developing insurance products covering the risks associated with applications of AI.
Futureminds is an 8-week innovation programme developed to equip emerging insurance practitioners with an innovation toolkit and skillset whilst taking them on a journey to develop ideas, from identifying a customer problem through a validated value proposition, to a final product concept pitch. The aim of the programme is to create validated product concepts which has the potential to be incubated and tested in the market.
On Tuesday 28 November, we are hosting the Futureminds Dragon’s Den Pitch event, and we would like to invite you, as the market community to hear from five teams that have been developing product concepts focusing on AI risks.
During the event, the teams will present the product concepts they have been developing throughout the 8-week programme, with a Q&A from our expert panel of judges.
The teams’ concepts will be assessed via criteria of desirability, feasibility and viability and the winner will be selected via public vote with final judges’ weighing.
Our honourable panel of Dragons include:
- Patrick Tiernan, Chief of Markets, Lloyd’s
- Dawn Miller, Commercial Director, Lloyd’s
- Andrew Brooks, Deputy Chair / LMA Chairman, Lloyd’s
It’s going to be a great opportunity to see the most current product thinking in the space, as well as an opportunity to start a potential commercial partnership with the presenting teams on their product concepts.
