To mark Black History Month, Bruce Carnegie-Brown, Chairman of Lloyd’s, invites you to join him for an event which will share an update on our research collaboration with Black Beyond Data Collective at John Hopkins University.
This exciting collaboration is helping to uncover and recover the history of slavery in new ways by researching materials in the Lloyd’s Collection to examine the role of insurance and Lloyd’s in the transatlantic slave trade.
The event will feature a talk by Dr Alexandre White, of Black Beyond Data, who is leading the project and his Research Assistant, Pyar Seth.
The event will be followed by networking drinks.
