Lutine Benevolent Fund

The Lutine Benevolent Fund aims to support those in the Lloyd’s community who have fallen on hard times. Anyone can find themselves struggling to cope financially at certain times in their lives, whether through ill health, redundancy or a change in personal circumstances. The Lutine Benevolent Fund may be able to provide financial assistance at those times.

Until July 2026, the charity was known as the Lloyd’s Benevolent Fund. Founded in 1829, the charity has been helping people in the Lloyd’s community for almost 200 years. The new name, inspired by the Lutine Bell which has hung in the underwriting room at Lloyd’s since 1859, underscores the independence of the charity’s governance and operations. The name is new, but the independence and objects of the charity remain the same.
