Lloyd's Agency Department

The Lloyd’s Agency Department manages three highly respected, distinct but related functions which service the marine insurance industry, namely the Lloyd’s Agency Network, the production of certificates of insurance in respect of marine business and the salvage arbitration process arising from use of Lloyd’s Open Form. Our aim is to provide the best service possible to the global marine market.

  • Lloyd's Agency Network

     

    The Lloyd’s Agency Network provides 24 hour, year round independent marine surveying and claims adjusting services to the global insurance industry and its customers. With almost 300 Lloyd's Agents and approximately the same number of Sub Agents covering every major port and commercial centre in the world, the Lloyd's Agency network forms the world's most extensive surveying and adjusting network. You will find an introduction to the Network including a directory of Lloyd's Agents, Lloyd's Agency Department contacts, service level requirements and more.

  • Survey & Claims Management Team

     

    The Survey & Claims Management team has a high level of marine claims expertise and is available to assist the positive communication between our network's clients and the local Lloyd's Agents. If required they will accept and coordinate any survey or claim instruction with a view to ensuring that, wherever in the world the survey/service is required, the client is provided with a prompt, appropriate and effective service. Support can be provided on a structured/ad hoc basis and is free of charge.

  • Salvage Arbitration Branch

     

    The Salvage Arbitration Branch administers Lloyd’s Open Form of Salvage Agreement (“LOF”) which has been the preferred contract of the professional salvage industry since its introduction in 1908. You will find up-to-date information on the latest LOF cases and the background and workings of the form. You will also find out about the role played by Lloyd's Salvage Arbitration Branch in the administration of the form.

  • Certificate office

     

    Learn about Lloyd's Certificate Office which is dedicated to the production of insurance certificates as evidence of cover in both paper and electronic formats.
