New Suggested Agent for Service of Suit in California

Mendes & Mount LLP, Lloyd’s previously suggested agent for California, closed their California offices as of 31 December 2013.  Provision has been made to accommodate pre-existing policies naming Mendes & Mount LLP using a mail forwarding service. Underwriters, in future, may wish to designate Foley and Lardner as agent for service of suit in California policies. Service upon Foley & Lardner will be forwarded to Mendes & Mount's New York office.

Mendes & Mount LLP remains Lloyd’s suggested agent for most other states. The use of the above firms is not mandatory and underwriters are free to appoint another agent if desired.
