Jennifer Rigby appointed Lloyd’s Chief Operations Officer

Tue 02 Jul 2019

Lloyd’s of London announced today that Jennifer Rigby has been appointed Chief Operations Officer (COO).

Jennifer has been performing the role on an interim basis since March this year, following the departure of former COO Shirine Khoury-Haq.  Her remit as Lloyd’s COO includes business transformation, global operations, data, IT, innovation and corporate real estate.

Jennifer joined Lloyd’s in May 2017 as Chief Information Officer (CIO) with responsibilities that included technology transformation, cyber security and innovation as part of Lloyd’s overall strategy.  Under her leadership, IT costs were significantly reduced, and she also delivered a number of key technology changes including the platform that underpins Lloyd’s Brussels, our recently launched European subsidiary.

Jennifer began her career at the BBC and held several senior roles in the public sector including the National Archives, Home Office and Department of Energy and Climate Change before moving to Telefónica UK (O2) in 2014.

I am delighted to confirm the appointment of Jennifer as Lloyd’s Chief Operations Officer. It has been a pleasure to work closely with her since I joined Lloyd’s and I know that her leadership, experience and energy will be pivotal to our success as we look to set ourselves up for The Future at Lloyd’s.
