Launching our new Charity Trustee programme

Tue 21 Jan 2020

Lloyd’s Community Programme is launching its new charity trustee, BoardBuilders+

The new BoardBuilders+ programme, being offered to the market and Corporation by Lloyd’s Community Programme, provides people with the opportunity to apply to join the board of an east London-based charity.  BoardMatch events are a chance for everyone in the market who is interested in becoming a trustee to hear from a large selection of different charities in one place.

Why become a trustee?

Joining a charity board is one of the most valuable ways in which a business professional can volunteer their time, skills and expertise for a charity, with finance, legal, risk management, communication and technological skills all being identified as particularly important.  A recent study also suggested that 25% of people who became trustees reported that they received a promotion at work as a direct result of becoming a trustee.
