Applications are now open for Lloyd's Patriotic Fund new charity partners

Mon 29 Jul 2019

Founded in 1803, Lloyd’s Patriotic Fund (LPF) is the oldest military charity of its kind and has been providing support to the Armed Forces community on behalf of the Lloyd's market for over two hundred years.

We are proud of our history and since 2010, LPF has donated more than £3.2 million to support serving and ex-service personnel and their families. Today, our new strategy focuses on improving the transition to civilian life for veterans and their families who need the most help. Lloyd’s Patriotic Fund aims to unite support from the market to aid the successful transition to civilian life for veterans and their families to ensure successful futures.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for new partner charities to help improve the transition for “at risk” groups (such as bereaved families, or early service leavers families) which focuses on:

  • Mental health
  • Building resilience
  • Employment support
  • Financial independence

This will enable veterans and their families to build successful civilian lives and careers.

Our intention is to partner with one or two charities for up to three years and are welcoming applications from organisations working in the military charity sector. Lloyd’s Patriotic Fund has up to £200,000 per year (either for one partner or across two partners if selected) and would like to partner with organisations who can engage the Lloyd’s market in a wide range of exciting and innovative ways as well as bring innovation and collaboration across the military charity sector.

In addition, Lloyd’s Patriotic Fund is giving out a small number of grants of up to £10,000 to support our new strategy.
