The FERMA programme is comprised of three, two-day sessions over the course of 12 months and provides a mix of practical and interactive sessions focusing on Lloyd’s and the London insurance market, exploring everything from exposure management, emerging risks, and claims management to cyber, crisis management, supply chain solutions and intellectual property insurance.

The first session focused on de-mystifying Lloyd's and the London market. It was designed to provide an introduction to Lloyd’s Strategy, Oversight and approach to Risk Management and combined with networking opportunities as a foundation which will be built upon throughout the three sessions.

The second session focused on Risk Management, Claims at Lloyd's as well as presentations from underwriters on innovative products and risk solutions such as The Move from Physical to Digital Assets and IoT  the Internet of Things; Interactive Cyber Session; Global Programmes & Compliance; and Product Recall. Risk Managers had the chance to shadow a Lloyd's Broker in our market experience session to observe the face to face negotiation and placing of risks in Lloyd's. Delegates also had the opportunity to meet and have extended Q&A sessions with Lloyd’s CEO, John Neal and Lloyd’s Chairman, Bruce Carnegie-Brown.

We welcomed the 2018-19 cohort of FERMA risk managers back to Lloyd’s for the The third and final session in February 2019 which involved an thought-provoking sessions on Intellectual Property insurance, a hands-on Interactive Claims session focusing on a NatCat disaster response scenario Innovation workshop and the opportunity to shadow an underwriter at the box to see first-hand how business is transacted at Lloyd's from the underwriter’s perspective.
