Fight For Peace
Taking the opportunity of the 6th Meet the Market event in Rio de Janeiro, Lloyd’s Brazil supported “Fight for Peace”, a charity that combines boxing and martial arts with education and personal development to realise the potential of young people in communities affected by crime, violence and social exclusion.
Fight for Peace provides young people with the tools and support structures they need to become life champions and create positive futures for themselves via their academies in Rio de Janeiro and London.
Luke Dowdney, Fight For Peace founder, made a presentation to Lloyd’s guests attending the event about the NGO [organization] and also hosted their box in the underwriting room, where guests could watch, in Virtual Reality, a video about the project.
Lloyd’s Brazil made a BRL 5,000 (GBP 1,250) donation to purchase new training equipment for their academy in Rio de Janeiro.
