Event details

Date:   Monday 19 November 2018
Time:  15:30 - 17:00

One Lime Street

By 2020, some 25 billion devices will be connected to the Internet. Everything from fridges and lightbulbs to cities will collect data that can be used to provide a wealth of bespoke products and services. Such a substantive network will have societal impact and change the environment for insurance solutions (scope, wording, risk and product range).

We invite you to join us for the launch of a new study from Lloyd’s which explores the potential impact of this proliferation of connected devices upon the risk landscape.

We will be joined by University College London (UCL) and the PETRAS IoT Hub for an interactive session that will introduce IoT technologies, explore IoT risk scenarios across marine, smart homes, water infrastructure and agriculture and highlight the opportunities for insurers. You’ll also experience IoT in use with a live cargo tracking demo by Zuhlke Engineering.
