Marketform provides answer for increase in cosmetic procedures.

Marketform has pioneered an innovative medical malpractice and public liability product for beauticians and hairdressers in Greece.

The company has joined with Athens-based broking group G Karavis & Associates to offer cover designed to meet the needs of the country’s hairdressers and beauty therapists.

The programme is headed by Marketform underwriter Avraam Avraam, who says the product is a market first.

“The product not only covers the public liability aspects but also medical malpractice, creating a new type of product for the Greek market,” he explains. “The expanding use of more advanced beauty and aesthetic techniques means a broader level of cover is required.”

The product is initially available in Athens and the surrounding area. Marketform director, Alex Wakely, says: “This is a product which combines a broad range of cover and we’re confident of its success.

“We are pleased to offer the product through a broker who has strong links with the Lloyd’s market.”
