Get Involved

Lloyd's Community Programme volunteers help to build a stronger local community by getting involved in projects in East London. In 2014, we want to match the success of previous years and help at least 1,700 people in the Lloyd's Market share their skills and enthusiasm in this way.

Volunteering can range from an hour a week to just one day and is hugely rewarding for all involved. Over 50 managing agents and brokers in the Lloyd's Market are supporters of Lloyd's Community Programme. If you work in Lloyd's Market and would like to take part, have a look at our four focus areas below to find out which volunteer opportunity is right for you:

Research Skills Workshop, 24 November 2014, 16:00 - 18:00, Talbot Underwriting

This competitive workshop aims to help Cambridge Heath Sixth Form students (16-17 year olds) acquire research skills like: reliability of sources, diversity of sources, bias, how to organise research, large scale quantitative data versus small scale qualitative case studies and how to link theories to findings.

Revision Skills Workshop, 9 December 2014, 09:00 – 12:00, Morpeth School

This workshop aims to provide Morpeth School students (13-14 year olds) with revision techniques and time management skills. During the session, students will have the opportunity to try out different memory techniques, discover different learning techniques and think about time management.
