To ensure that the Lloyd's Agency network delivers an appropriate service to our clients the Lloyd's Agency Department offers, free of charge, assistance from our Survey & Claims Management Team. All members of The Survey & Claims Management Team have significant and varied marine insurance claims handling and management experience. Having all been past users of service providers in the marine surveying and adjusting field, we have a clear understanding of the environment within which our clients operate and the functions of the various parties that can become involved in claims. The overriding aim of this team is to ensure that our network’s clients receive a consistently high service from Lloyd’s Agents wherever they are located. More specifically, the Survey & Claims Management Team undertake the following:
- Act as a liaison between Lloyd’s Agents and our clients in relation to the receipt and fulfilment of instructions – all clients may instruct any Lloyd’s Agent via the Lloyd’s Agency department and our claims personnel will, free of charge, direct the Agent in the fulfilment of the instruction and do everything possible to ensure that a comprehensive and timely report and overall service is provided
- Assist either the client or the Agent with the fulfilment of any instruction given directly to an Agent
- Solicit feedback from our client base to ensure the Agency Network continues to meet its clients’ needs effectively
Co-ordinate any instruction requiring the involvement of more than one Agent – either on an ad hoc or more regular/structured basis
- Manage the global network and raise the quality benchmark of Lloyd's Agents by:
- Reviewing and delivering the department’s compulsory training and development
programme for Lloyd’s Agents
- Assisting the highly experienced Inspectors of Agencies with the department’s
comprehensive programme for the auditing and inspection of Lloyd’s Agents
