Completed Atlas Enhancements 2011

The 2011 Atlas Enhancements were installed successfully. Please log into Atlas to view the changes.

For details on how to use the new enhancements please see the Atlas User Guide. You will need an Atlas log in.

The Atlas enhancements this year are:

Printing: An adobe pdf document can be generated which summarises the information found on the Details Tab for a coverholder. This is of particular interest to managing agents to streamline their processes.

Transparent Relationships: Lloyd’s brokers will see which managing agents they have given access to on each coverholder record and how long until this relationship expires. For Associated Managing Agent Relationships this will only take affect for relationships added after the enhancements.

New Broker Relationships: Lloyd’s will no longer be reviewing new broker relationship requests. Instead the sponsoring managing agent will provide the approval. The managing agent will only approve the request where there is a genuine business relationship.

Broker Relationships: Coverholders, including Lloyd’s brokers who are coverholders, will be able to see which Lloyd’s brokers have access to their record. The coverholder will also able to remove this relationship but only where there is not a binder in place.

Quicker Annual Compliance: The annual compliance will no longer be reviewed by Lloyd’s. Instead, once submitted by the broker, it will be made instantly available for review by the managing agents with a relationship with the coverholder. However, the name and address of the coverholder will no longer be able to be updated during the annual compliance. Instead a separate Company Information change will need to be submitted which Lloyd’s will review.

Directory Email: The coverholder can now choose for the general email named on the Company Information section to appear on the coverholder directory. This option will be switched off until the coverholder submits a Company Information change turning it on. The coverholder can also choose whether this email address receives automated alerts from Atlas.

Reordering of the Annual Compliance: The order of the forms in the annual compliance now matches the order on the Details Tab and the printing.

Current Ownership: Only the current ownership details will be brought through to the annual compliance form.

Coverholder Contact Information: It will be required that contact details are provided for each coverholder. The coverholder will be able to choose whether to receive Atlas alerts and invites to Lloyd’s coverholder events. This can be updated as part of the annual compliance.

Current Key Staff: The default view under the details tab of key staff at a coverholder will be for the current staff.

Coverholder site links: Managing agents and Lloyd’s brokers will be able to access the Atlas record of their coverholders directly from the task list on their home page.

The BAR enhancement this year is:

Following Market Access: The following market will now be able to access the binding authority registration through the BAR system. This will allow the followers to review the registration against the slip and save the broker from distributing a copy.
