Election to the Council of Lloyd's

By a Notice dated 28 October 2011 members were informed of the vacancies arising.

At the close of Nominations, at 13.00 on Wednesday 16 November 2011, valid nomination papers had been received as follows:

Working member – five candidates for three vacancies

Mr Simon Charles Waldegrave Beale
Mr Lawrence Albert Holder
Mr Grahame John Millwater
Mr Michael John Wade
Mr Graham John White

As the number of working member candidates is greater than the number of vacancies, a ballot will be held to elect three working members to the Council. The two candidates with the highest votes will serve for three years and the candidate with the third highest vote in this constituency will serve for two years. All three terms commence on 1 February 2012. Ballot papers will be sent to all eligible members on the register of working members on Monday 5 December 2011. The ballot will close at 13.00 on 5 January 2012.

Individual External member – one candidate for one vacancy

The Michael Deeny LLP (represented by Mr Michael Eunan McLarnon Deeny)

As the number of individual external candidates equals the number of vacancies, a ballot will not be necessary. The Michael Deeny LLP (represented by Mr Deeny) has been elected for a term of three years commencing on 1 February 2012.

C-External member – one candidate for one vacancy

Hiscox Dedicated Corporate Member Limited (represented by Mr Robert Simon Childs)

As the number of C-external candidates equals the number of vacancies, a ballot will not be necessary. Hiscox Dedicated Corporate Member Limited (represented by Mr Childs) has been elected for a term of three years commencing on 1 February 2012.

All new appointments to Council are subject to the formal approval of the FSA.
