Following the acquisition of Atrium Underwriting plc by Ariel Holdings Limited there have been further changes to the board of Atrium Underwriters Limited, the managing agent for Syndicates 570 and 609. These are in addition to the changes announced earlier in the year.
The complete analysis is as follows:
George Rivaz, Don Kramer and Mark Herman (of Ariel Holdings Limited) have been appointed to the board of Atrium Underwriters Limited. George Rivaz has been appointed Chairman.
Richard Harries, Toby Drysdale and Andrew Winyard are to be appointed to the board with effect from 1st January 2008. Richard Harries will succeed Christine Dandridge as Active Underwriter of Syndicate 609 with effect from 1 January 2008 and Toby Drysdale will then be appointed Deputy Underwriter of Syndicate 609.
Christine Dandridge is to step down from the board at the end of this year, but will continue to support the business going forward.
Simon Curtis resigned as Finance Director earlier in the year and Andrew Baddeley will be appointed in his place with effect from 3 December 2007 and will be appointed to the board of Atrium Underwriters Limited at that time.
Michael Andrews has stepped down as Non-Executive Director and Charles Bailey will step down as Non-Executive Director at the end of this year.
Ann Godbehere* is to be appointed Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.

Ann Godbehere – a Canadian who started her career in 1976 with Sun Life of Canada, joining Mercantile & General Reinsurance Group in 1981. Swiss Re bought M&G in 1996 and Ann Godbehere became Chief Financial Officer of Swiss Re Life & Health, North America. She moved to London as Chief Financial Officer of Swiss Re Life & Health Division in 1998 and joined Property & Casualty Business Group, based out in Zurich, as Chief Financial Officer on its establishment in 2001. Ann Godbehere was appointed Group Chief Financial Officer in 2003. In August 2007, she was appointed Non-Executive Director of Prudential plc.
Ann Godbehere qualified as a Certified General Accountant in Canada in 1983 and was made a Fellow of the Association in 2003.
