Lloyd's Remembrance Day ceremony will take place in Lloyd's on Wednesday 11 November 2009

Lloyd’s, the world’s leading specialist insurance market, will mark Remembrance Day on Wednesday 11 November by hosting its annual Wreath Laying Ceremony in the Lloyd’s Underwriting Room.

The service for members of the Lloyd's market and corporation will start at 10.50am, followed by a two minute service at 11.00am.

NB: The main entrance to the Lloyd's building will be closed at 10:40 and will re open at 11:10. We therefore ask that all guests arrive in good time to get signed in and into the Room.

The escalators will be turned off and we ask that all mobile phones are turned off if you are in the Room during the Ceremony.

Remembrance Day and the Two Minute Silence have been observed since the end of the First World War, to remember those who fought during the two World Wars and those who have lost their lives in more recent conflicts.
