Lloyd's supports ClimateWise

On Thursday, 13 September, the insurance industry took a major step to play its part in addressing climate change, with several leading insurers, reinsurers, brokers and Lloyd’s signing up to the ClimateWise principles.
 

The principles, which were developed following meetings between representatives from the insurance industry and HRH Prince of Wales, focus on encouraging more climate friendly behaviours, incorporating climate change into investment strategies and urge companies to analyse the risks of climate change.


Trevor Maynard, Manager Emerging Risks, said: “We are delighted that this initiative is taking place and are also pleased that a large proportion of Managing Agents decided to sign up.”
